LithMag™ Fire has developed a professional range of high-temperature lithium-ion battery fire blankets specifically engineered to help manage battery thermal runaway incidents. Our range extends from compact blankets for e-bikes, power tools and small battery devices through to large-format blankets capable of covering a full electric vehicle (EV).

Unlike many generic fire blankets, LithMag blankets are manufactured using ZetexPlus®, one of the world's leading high-performance vermiculite-coated silica fabrics for extreme heat applications. Selected after extensive technical evaluation, ZetexPlus offers exceptional thermal resistance, mechanical strength and durability, making it ideally suited to the severe conditions created during lithium-ion battery failures.

When deployed correctly, a LithMag blanket helps establish rapid scene control by:

• Reducing fire spread to nearby vehicles, buildings and other assets.
• Helping contain sparks, burning particles and projectile debris.
• Reducing radiant heat exposure for responders and bystanders.

The vermiculite-coated ZetexPlus fabric maintains its structural integrity under prolonged high-temperature exposure while providing excellent resistance to abrasion, tearing and industrial use. Its natural stiffness also allows the blanket to be positioned around equipment and battery packs more effectively than many softer fabrics, improving containment during deployment.

LithMag blankets are intended to be used as part of a comprehensive lithium battery incident response strategy, providing emergency responders, industrial facilities, workshops, fleet operators and homeowners with an effective means of isolating the incident, protecting surrounding assets and improving overall scene safety until the battery can be fully stabilised and recovered.
